This piece of art has a dynamic and organic feel, as if it is alive and moving. The shapes that form the composition are mostly curved and arranged in a radial pattern, creating a sense of harmony and balance. The main inspiration for this piece is the leaves of Oxalis triangularis, which have three heart-shaped leaves and look like a trio of butterflies.
The colors are mostly dark with shades of purple, green and black. There is also a bit of yellow and white, adding contrast and brightness. The colors blend and bleed into each other, creating a rich and varied texture.
The lines are thin and delicate, outlining the shapes and adding some details. They are mostly the same color as the watercolor, but some are darker or lighter, creating depth and definition.
It’s painted on paper, with watercolors and each of them is cut out by hand.
Combined with glue and have been given matt vanish.
The backplate is wavy and contributes to the depth you feel at the shifts in the art.
